The Snake Episode

So, the other day at my mom and dad's house we found a snake curled up right outside the back door. We immediately called my dad, Russ, and Andy to come rescue us. My dad tried to tell us over the phone how to take care of the problem ourselves (thanks Dad!) and after much convincing, Russ and Andy finally came over to help us. So much for our knights in shining armor!

See, this was no small snake. I think it was a boa constrictor, but Russ and Andy said it was more of a rat snake. I think it was at least half boa. It was dangerous, that is all I know.

Here the snake is about to eat the boys. He was mad, ready to strike.

They almost lost him here. Please notice Sheryl in the background coaching from inside. She knows a lot about snake hunting.

And now the rabid snake has been caught. VICTORY!

Of course we could not kill the snake and protect against future invasions....the guys set him free! And now, the snake continues to lurk in my parent's back yard. Problem unresolved!

Saturday Shower

My sweet highschool friends, some family, and other friends from Waco threw me a shower on Saturday, June 26th.

Here are 4 of my hostesses. The other ones couldn't make it because either they just had a baby or were about to have a baby. They did a great job of putting it all together though, even if they couldn't be there for the actual event.

Lots of family came in town for this one. Russ' mom, grandmom, and aunt all came from Abilene. And Sheryl of course:)

I got lots of cute smocked dresses....cannot wait to put Harper in those. Complete with a little pink bow...she will be a hit!

Thursday Night Shower

After about 8 months of talking about starting a blog, I have now actually done it. Thanks to my wonderful neighbor Holly, I am now getting into the 21st century and joining the Blog world.

So, my first post is going to be one of my showers my wonderful friends threw for me. This first shower was a dessert shower at Jade's house. It was perfect for me...desserts and MILK! What more can a girl ask for?
